Pigskin fat is an animal fat, derived from the production of edible and pharmaceutical gelatine. The raw materials are coming from healthy animals, slaughtered in registered slaughterhouses and released for human consumption after pre- and post mortem inspection (according to regulation (EU) 853/2004).
Pigskin fat is almost colourless and depending on temperature partly solid and has a weak fat smell.
Pigskin fat is produced by separation of the fat phase during the gelatine production (without the use of solvents).
Antioxidant, 20-50 mg/kg Butylhydroxyanisole (BHA, E 320). (On customer demand an additional dosage of antioxidant is possible).
